Join Global Adventure Challenges and explore the highest mountain in Wales and England by moonlight. Whether you've trekked mountains before, or enjoy walking and want to take it to the next level, seeing the sunrise across Snowdonia National Park will be a memory never forgotten! 

You will be guided on the 9.5 mile route up Snowdon 1,085m, the highest mountain in England and Wales, for a challenging yet rewarding experience. Upon your descent, you will witness the breathtaking mountain range open up to give glorious views and afterwards you will tuck into a delicious celebration breakfast. 

Conquer Snowdon at night and raise vital funds for your local hospitals across Bristol city centre and Weston.

Absolutely! This trek is suitable for all ages with the correct training. The minimum age for this trek is 18 years old (14-17 year olds must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian). The one thing everyone will have in common is a great sense of adventure and a desire to help a charity. Whether you are taking part as an individual or as a team with friends, team spirit will be flying high on the challenge.

The registration fee is £49. This includes:

  • Snacks along the route and breakfast on completing the challenge (they can cater for most dietary requirements as long as they know in advance, so please complete the relevant section of your registration form.)
  • Qualified Global Adventure Challenges leaders
  • Vehicle for back up and support

BWHC Logo sunburst icon  How much do I need to fundraise?

If you sign up for a charity place, the minimum sponsorship is £290. If you decide to self-fund, it is £145. Read more about costs here.

BWHC Logo sunburst icon How fit do I need to be to take part?

It is a challenge and will require a certain level of fitness to trek the 9.5 mile hike to the 1085m summit. It will take 5-7 hours to hike the route so you will need to be comfortable with walking for this period of time. Snowden at night charity challenge

This trek has been graded as Challenging (1) on Global Adventure Challenges grading scheme, meaning it is designed to push your boundaries - however it is achievable by most people as long as you fitness train beforehand. Remember, you are trekking to the summit of the highest mountain in Wales, so the fitter you are, the more you will enjoy this challenge. Trekking training tips can be found on the Global Adventure Challenges website to point you in the right direction.

Each participant will receive a welcome pack full of supporting information that will aid preparation for the challenge including, but not limited to, further information on the trek, kit list, trekking tips and training schedules.

You will be provided with a full kit list inyour welcome pack when your register.Usual items of kit are required such asbroken in walking boots, walking poles and a head torch – other than this you do not need any specialist kit.

There will be a strong support team with professional Global Adventure Challenges leaders. A full, comprehensive first aid kit will be taken. A support vehicle will be located at the foot of the mountain providing extra support if needed. Mobile phones and VHF radios will be used to ensure our safety and security at all times.
