Comedian Laura Lexx has walked 106km around the Isle of Wight to raise money for our hospitals.

Joined by friends Danny and Kirsty, Laura took on the epic challenge from 30th April to 1st May and raised a whopping £1,672.

She said: “I’ve never done a physical challenge before. I loathe running, I hate being tired and I’m afraid of being hungry. But this year I gave it a go. It was horrible. We started off smiling but the kilometres just got longer and longer.

"I wanted to raise money for hospitals to give patients some dignity, comfort and help. Why Bristol? It’s where I remember visiting my Grandma when she was dying. One of my strongest memories of that is being on a roof garden sitting with her in the sun. That memory is so much better than being next to a hospital bed.”

Sponsor Laura's challenge

Laura Lexx became a Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity ambassador following her performance at the Funny Bones comedy night in 2018. This was her first charity fundraising challenge.

Thank you so much for your continued support, Laura! We really can't thank you enough.
