The Rolls-Royce Apprentice Association has raised £6,000 for our 10 hospitals in Bristol and Weston.

The team chose Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity as one if its two charities for the year, along with FoodCycle.

To raise the total of £12,000, the team had plant growing competitions, sweepstakes, raffles and Christmas hampers. Two members of staff also ran the Virtual London Marathon.

They also organised the Easter Strava Challenge, where a group of dedicated Rolls-Royce walkers, runners and cyclists took to the challenge of virtually trekking across the UK to help the Easter bunny’s efforts, covering a total distance of over 4,800km.

Mark Glozier, from Rolls-Royce, said:

Rolls-Royce are incredibly proud to have raised £6,000 for Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity. We chose Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity as a partner for our 2021 Charities of the Year because we were astonished with their commitment and investment in supporting our local hospitals.

“We wanted to support them during the especially challenging times of the Covid-19 pandemic so that they could continue providing the amazing care to the hospital staff and patients through their investments in cutting-edge research and technology, development programmes and hospital space transformations. When Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity presented their planned projects at our 2021 charity handover event, we knew we were supporting an incredible charity.”
