Oliver Allen and Matt Webb switched jets for jogging to run the Virtual London Marathon on 3rd October.

This year’s London Marathon had the usual in-person event, as well as 50,000 virtual runners doing the race in locations across the country.

Both Oliver and Matt decided to run an in-person event, the Dorney Lake Marathon, to benefit from the boost of the crowds to get them round the 26.2-mile course.

The pair raised more than £700 for Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity and FoodCycle Bristol, the charities of the year for Rolls-Royce.

Oliver said: “Matt and I both survived our marathons, although our legs were definitely feeling worse for wear on Monday morning!

“I’d like to thank the charities for offering us the opportunity to participate in the Virtual London Marathon – it was an incredibly memorable and challenging experience throughout the year, particularly for me as my first ever marathon.”
