The change you make News and Blog Latest news UHBW Sustainability Team cycle from Bristol to Weston 12 November 2021 Last weekend the UHBW Sustainability Team did something great, cycling 29 miles from Bristol Royal Hospital for Children to Weston General Hospital. Sporting some of our new yellow t-shirts, the team took on the challenge to tie in with the COP26 conference in Glasgow, raising awareness of the links between air pollution, climate change and health. Stewart, a member of the team who has previously cycled from Bristol to Paris for our charity, said: “In December 2020 I caught Covid-19. it was a mild form, which I was lucky with, but since then my fitness levels are so low that I struggle to complete physical events that I would have completed easily in the past. "I saw this as an opportunity to raise vital funds for the charity that I hold close to my heart and the financial support that they have given to Bristol and Weston hospitals. It has enabled so much research to take place and has improved the hospital environment for our staff, patients and visitors. "It was also a great opportunity to support the Cop26 cycle from London to Glasgow where healthcare staff including staff from BRCH took part." Want to do a great thing?
