Celebrate your NHS this summer

The Wye Valley Trail Race is a scenic half marathon running event. The race starts and finishes at Chepstow Race Course with parking and race HQ onsite. The trail run crosses two countries – England and Wales, two bridges over the river Wye, passes two famous landmarks, Tintern Abbey and Chepstow Castle, and includes the two famous trails – Offa’s Dyke and the Wye Valley Walk Way.

This route epitomises the Wye Valley trails in every way, rolling forest trails, stunning views, historic landmarks and a mix of technical ascents and descents, open fields and views across the Severn estuary and River Wye.

This really is one of the most beautiful half marathons in the UK – don’t miss out!

THE ROUTE

The route will take you through woodland, valleys and even through a cave. Please be aware there are steep sides to the edges of the path in some areas and care will need to be taken.

You’ll be taking in some stunning views of Tintern, the famous Offa’s Dyke Path, both Severn Bridges and the river Wye – just to name a few of the landmarks on the route!

This is not a closed road or footpath event. Participants will need to have caution at road junctions and be respectful of other people using the paths and trails.
