A Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity fundraiser has raised over a whopping £2,000 by taking on not one, not two but THREE fundraising challenges, including a 65km running challenge – dressed as a Roman gladiator.

Jago completed a 65km running challengeJago Hartland started treatment at Bristol’s hospitals for Cystic Fibrosis when he was 14 and has been under their care since.

Since 2015, Jago has been raising £1,000 for a different charity every year, including taking on the Bristol to Paris Cycle Challenge in 2018.

He was due to take part in the cycle challenge again in 2020, but the event unfortunately had to be cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Instead he took on three fundraising challenges: Land’s End to John O’Groats on a mountain bike, a half Ironman and a 65km running challenge dressed as a Roman, which he completed on 12th November.

Jago said: “It took 11 hours, with around 2000m of elevation and in terrible weather, but I completed it! It certainly was one of the toughest challenges I have completed.

“I am glad to say that I have also now smashed my £2,000 target which is super – there are lots of supportive people out there.

“Another year, another challenge completed!”

Next up, Jago is supporting his partner Sacha in her challenge to climb 65 mountains. Only 60 to go, good luck you two!
