As of October 2021, Weston General Hospital joined our charity family as part of the newly merged University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW) providing care to the people of Bristol, Weston-super-Mare and across the South West.

Weston General Hospital delivers acute care to the community, including intensive care, coronary (heart) services, medical assessment unit, and an emergency department which sees more than 47,000 patients each year.

Services

At Weston, there is also a specialist stroke unit with a team of highly experienced staff, caring for patients from emergency treatment to rehabilitation in the community.

Ashcombe Birth Centre in Weston is a midwife-led birth centre specialising in low-risk births. They also work in partnership with St Michael’s Hospital in Bristol which provides service for complicated pregnancies.

The hospital also provides a range of cancer services including colorectal, lung, skin, gynaecology, palliative care and urology, as well as a daycase chemotherapy service.
