Become a Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity Champion

What does a Charity Champion do?

Charity Champions help to raise awareness of Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity so together we can continue to bring moments of joy, comfort and happiness to those who need it the most.

This role will act as a link between your ward or department and Bristol and Weston Hospitals Charity, informing us of grateful patients who would like to get involved, encourage staff fundraising and looking out for opportunities to fund projects, equipment or improvements.

We know how busy you are, so being a Charity Champion doesn’t have to be time consuming. We have responsibilities that can easily fit around your routine:

  • Keep your ward or department up to date with posters, flyers and freebies for your team.
  • Be our eyes and ears within the hospital. If there are any projects that need funding, materials that would help improve your day-to-day work, or ways we can encourage new support, we would love to know about them.
  • Keep your team up to date with news and events.
  • When patients want to show gratitude for the amazing care they have received, tell them about Bristol & Weston Hospital Charity.

How we’ll support you

  • The Charity Champion e-newsletter. All the things you need to know for the month ahead!
  • We will send you a regular stock of posters, leaflets and staff materials for distribution.
  • Our full support. Email or phone when you need us (Mon-Fri 9-5).
  • Invitation to our annual ambassador get together.
  • Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity and Charity Champion badge
