Every day between 35 and 40 patients with various forms of cancer are cared for on the chemotherapy day unit at Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre (BHOC).

Thanks to our generous supporters, we have been able to purchase new electric reclining treatment chairs, meaning patients can be as comfortable as possible during their chemotherapy treatment.

We also want to ensure that relatives and friends of patients are able to support their loved ones by funding visitor chairs. This will mean that each patient can have a number of visitors there to support them, and their new appearance will contribute to making the ward a brighter, more welcoming environment.

Outpatient Sister Sally Long, pictured, is delighted with the new chairs and says they have made an immediate improvement to patient experience on the ward.
