Ideas to get you started

 Your school or nursery can join our festive celebrations on National Elf Service Day every December. Taking part is as easy as finding the first door on your advent calendar – simply dress in your finest elf outfit or as your favourite Christmas character on our National Elf Service Day to spread Christmas cheer. You can pull out all the stops – from the elf hat on your head to the tips of the elf slippers on your toes. This is your moment of elf greatness! 

 Hosting a talent show at your school. Gather your pupils to team up with their friends and showcase their talents. Charge guests an entry fee and donate the proceeds.

 Who doesn’t need a little pick me up in January? Ask your pupils to pledge to be kind in every way, to every person big or small, be kind to them all. This could be, cooking a meal for their parents, guardians or siblings at home, making a cake for a friend, walking the dog, making the coffees at home, the list goes on and on! Your pupils could make a list of all their good deeds, have a competition in class, and raise money for Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity whilst doing so. Joyful January is the future!

 Host a sports day and you could be a hop, skip and jump closer to making a big difference to the 10 hospitals we support across Bristol city centre, South Bristol and Weston-super-Mare. Make the day egg-cellent with the classic egg and spoon race and pull out stops with the spud-tacular potato sack race! Ask parents, guardians and guests for a small donation on entry and see how much you can raise.

 Have an end of term party and say a great big THANK YOU to our amazing NHS champions who are always ready to provide care and support when we need them, but thanks to you, we can be there for them too.
