The South West Business Leader Awards will benefit Above & Beyond as its chosen charity for the 2020 ceremony.

The high profile event brings together the most influential leaders in business, education and government to recognise and celebrate business success, supported by the area’s most important professionals and advisors.

Andrew Scott, founder and CEO of Business Leader, said: “We’ve chosen Above & Beyond to benefit from the South West awards as almost everyone in the area has a connection to Bristol’s hospitals.

“It’s great to be able to give something back and benefit the hundreds of thousands of patients who visit the hospitals each year.”

The money raised for Above & Beyond will go towards funding modern and welcoming environments, world-class equipment, innovative research and staff training and development at the hospitals.

Elaine Gibson, Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager for Above & Beyond, said: “It’s fantastic to have been chosen as the charity for the 2020 Business Leader Awards, the most prestigious and celebrated business event of the year in Bristol and the South West.

“We’re really looking forward to being involved and meeting all the incredible award winners on the night.”

Previous awards hosts have included Sir Ranulph Fiennes, Jeremy Vine, Russell Kane and business icon Michelle Mone.

The awards ceremony will take place at Ashton Gate on 24 September 2020. Nominations open 21 February 2020.
