Our second Funny Bones event raised almost £12,000 for Bristol's hospitals.

Funny Bones: Nish Kumar & Friends featured performances from Nish, Jake Lambert, Kiri Pritchard-McLean and many others, including some local Bristol comics.

Hosted by Bristol-based comedian Mark Olver for the second year running, the night at Bristol Hippodrome raised £11,976 from tickets sales and text donations.

Nish Kumar said: “It was a great line up of comedians and I think the audience really enjoyed the show.

“The NHS is a fantastic resource so it was my pleasure to be involved in the event.”

Corporate partnerships and community fundraising manager for Above & Beyond Edd Smith said: “Funny Bones 2019 was another great event with a really special atmosphere. We also get some really positive feedback from it.

“A big thank you goes to all the comedians for taking part, Bristol Hippodrome for hosting and to everyone who came to the show.

“We’re so grateful to the support everyone has given to the charity and to Bristol’s hospitals through the event.”
