Four rounds of golf in a day might seem easy, but think again…

Friends Michael Davey, Dan Carter and Dan and Ben Fry took on the mammoth challenge on 23rd June, raising more than £4,300.

The team were joined by Chris, who had treatment at Bristols hospitalsThe foursome got up at 3am, started their first round at 5am and finally finished at 10pm - with 45,000 steps and 24 miles in between.

The team chose to fundraise for Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity after Dan and Ben’s dad had treatment at the Bristol's hospitals following multiple cardiac arrests.

It's the fourth time the team have completed the challenge. This year it took place at Mendip Golf Club in Somerset.

Michael said: “Whilst this year was our hardest year to date (given the heat and distance on foot), we were driven by the fact that the story behind this year’s challenge meant something to us as a group.

“During round three, we were joined by some members of Dan and Ben’s family (including his mam and dad), which was lovely.”
