Jago Hartland has become the first Above & Beyond Ambassador.

He met the Above & Beyond team at the BRI, where he has received treatment for cystic fibrosis since he was 14. 

Since 2015, Jago has been raising £1,000 each year for a different charity, and in 2018 he took part in our flagship event, the Bristol to Paris Cycle Challenge, along with more than 50 others.

He said: "It's one of the proudest days of my life - I am so excited to be the first Above & Beyond Ambassador.

"Out of all the charities I have worked with and supported, the Above & Beyond team have always been extremely welcoming and supportive. It's a real honour to see where the charity funds have been spent and utilised. 

"I will be posting events and fundraisers which people can get involved in and opportunities for others to challenge themselves! Come along to a talk, a ball, cake sale or anything else - adventure begins when you #sayyesmore!"

Could you be an Above & Beyond Ambassador?

We want to recruit ambassadors who will be the face of Above & Beyond. The role includes doing some – or all – of the following depending on your skills:

• Attend a cheque presentation on behalf of the charity
• Deliver talks to community groups
• Organise a bucket collection in a local supermarket
• Share and celebrate what we have done and the impact it has had
• Promote planned fundraising activities and initiatives
