Celebrations for NHS70 have raised over £18,000 to date and money continues to come in as people kindly donate and fundraise to say thank you to the NHS for 70 years of service.

Above & Beyond joined official NHS charities from across England to take part in national celebrations to mark the 70th birthday of our much-loved institution. 

People from Bristol and beyond came together to give to the #BigBristolGiveNHS70 via our online crowdfunding campaign, a special NHS70 postal and email appeal, and by hosting fundraising Big 7Tea Parties.

The Bristol business community also got involved: Wards Solicitors generously match-funded £7,000 of donations as part of the #BigBristolGiveNHS70 online fundraising campaign, while Pukka Herbs and Savills hosted their own tea parties.

The birthday celebrations culminated in a Big 7Tea Party held at Bristol Royal Infirmary on Thursday 5 July. Staff, volunteers and special guests got through more than 1,000 scones, 3,000 cupcakes, 20 litres of gelato, and four big birthday cakes!
