The Inn on the Green is celebrating raising £1,000 for the Juvenile Diabetes Department at Bristol children’s hospital.

Pub regular Ralph Stringer nominated the Juvenile Diabetes Department to benefit from the pub's annual beer festival following their fantastic care of his son Daniel.

Ralph said: “Over the past five years since diagnosis the diabetes nursing department has provided Daniel with so much diabetes related equipment - whatever we have needed has been readily available.

“Aside from that there is the ongoing research performed within the department.  As a result it was felt that the department deserved some financial support.

“We enjoyed getting together, enjoying the festival and good weather (for a change!) while generating funds to support the nursing department who care for Daniel and the many other young diabetics.”

The team, including Ralph and long-time Inn on the Green fundraisers Martin and Denise Walters, Geoff Clarke, Craig Williams and Simon Wilkinson ran a nerf gun range and a raffle with a television as the top prize.
