Who we are Your hospitals Cossham Hospital SUPPORT COSHAM HOSPITAL Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity and Southmead Hospital Charity have now joined together as one charity partner for our newly merged Trust, Bristol NHS Foundation Trust. Together, we support 13 hospitals across Bristol and Weston, including Cossham Hospital. Cossham Hospital is a community hospital providing outpatient services including specialist consultations and treatments, diagnostic tests, physiotherapy, speech and language therapy, sexual health support, a midwife-led birthing centre and maternity care for low-risk pregnancies. Did you know? Built in 1905 and opened in 1907, it was funded by the estate of Handel Cossham, a wealthy local coal-mine owner and Member of Parliament. The hospital treats 20,000 to 25,000 patients annually through its specialised outpatient and therapy departments. In 2013, thanks to community support, £19 million was invested into refurbishing the hospital which saved it from closure. Sited on Lodge Hill, the hospital's famous clock tower stands at one of the highest points in Bristol. The large specialised Dialysis Unit has the capacity to treat and support 96 regular chronic kidney patients at any given time. The modern birthing centre supports a natural, home-from-home birth experience including luxury birthing suites with double beds, birthing pools, and holistic therapies to assist labour naturally. DO GREAT THINGS FOR COSSHAM HOSPITAL With your support, we can go above and beyond what the NHS can provide to help improve spaces, advance research and enhance care for every patient at Cossham Hospital. Boost the power of kindness and make a real difference for patients, their families, and the staff who care for them. HAVE A QUESTION? WE'RE HERE TO HELP!
