'An Evening with Gary and Lee Johnson' has raised over £12,000 for the BHI Appeal.

The exclusive event at Ashton Gate Stadium featured comedy from life-long Bristol City fan Mark Watson, music from opera singer Tim Pitman and Mission Blue and a tell-all Q&A hosted by BBC Radio Bristol's Emma Britton.

A silent auction included a signed Anthony Joshua boxing glove, a holiday to Bali and a hot air balloon ride.

The live auction gave guests the opportunity to bid on once-in-a-lifetime prizes, such as a being Bristol City assistant manager for a day, playing a match at Ashton Gate managed by either Gary or Lee and the wine Lee originally bought for Jose Mourinho during Bristol City's famous Carabao Cup run.

More than £12,000 was raised for Above & Beyond's BHI Appeal - a cause very close to the Johnson family after Gary had a triple heart bypass at the hospital last year.

Edd Smith, Above & Beyond corporate partnerships manager, said: "From all at Above & Beyond, I want to say a huge thank you to the Johnsons, everyone who helped with the organisation and running of the event and to everyone who came along for a fantastic evening of entertainment.

"The money raised will go towards an additional echo scanner for the cardiac theatre - a really vital piece of equipment that will help improve patient experience and help to provide the best possible care."
