Law firm DAC Beachcroft has now raised more than £100,000 for Above & Beyond.

40 DAC Beachcroft cyclists have entered the Above & Beyond Bristol to Paris Cycle Challenge for the past three years of the event – and taken on the mammoth journey of 430km to the French capital.

Their fundraising has gone towards a variety of hospital projects – including a new 3D ultrasound scanner for St. Michael’s Hospital, improvements to the Major Trauma Rehabilitation Unit at the Children’s Hospital and a cardiac scanner.

Nick Knapman, Location Head at DAC Beachcroft's Bristol office, said: “I'm very proud of the efforts made by colleagues over the three years we've been supporting Above and Beyond, and know first-hand that it has been a hugely fulfilling experience for those of us who have taken part.

"The charity does a fantastic job of supporting Bristol's city centre hospitals, the patients and families who visit them and the staff who provide excellent care.  We are committed to giving something back to the community in which we live and work, especially when we can see the difference that Above & Beyond makes to people's lives in Bristol, many of whom are our friends and families."

Catherine Harris, Corporate Partnerships Fundraising Officer for Above & Beyond, said: “Helping the team at DAC Beachcroft reach such a landmark figure has been fantastic. Everyone involved has been so dedicated - their hard work both in cycling and fundraising has been amazing to see.

“The money they’ve raised has contributed to some important projects at the hospitals and we hope this exciting partnership continues.”
