BAM Construct UK has raised £3,000 for our hospitals by taking on the Cotswold Way Challenge. 

The firm kicked off their fundraising in March and were originally planning to fundraise for Above & Beyond for three months, but due to their success they have extended their partnership with the charity.

At the end of June, the employee team took on the Cotswold Way Challenge, raising more than £3,000 for Bristol's hospitals.

Laurie Pym, from Bam Construct UK, said: "We had started off feeling very confident with our efforts, but at the halfway mark we realised it that it wasn’t so much the distance that started taking its toll, but more so the elevation of the walk.

"Overall there were some good views, helpful rest stops and we all felt accomplished once we had completed it.

"We had decided to raise money for Above & Beyond as BAM are working with the hospital to build new Covid-19 beds, a cath lab extension, the BHOC refurbishment, emergency department refurbishment and more. Knowing how much equipment costs we felt that donating to Above & Beyond was the best course of action to get the hospital specialist equipment that is very helpful to the patients."
