We're excited to announce the Bristol Heart Institute Appeal has now hit the £830,000 target!

The appeal has had some fantastic support from fundraisers, donors and staff at the hospital - from Pete Lamb doing seven marathons in seven countries to John Griffin, who raised more than £10,000 with his 12 hour spinning challenge. Not to mention BHI physiotherapist Caroline who got a team of 32 together to take part in the Cotswolds 24-hour Challenge. Just to name a few!

Of the money raised, £378,000 will go to the relocation of the Echocardiography Facility from the BRI to right next to the Coronary Care Unit in the BHI. This will make a huge difference to patient care, with poorly patients no longer having to make the long, public journey for their scan.

"The end of the appeal does not mean our work with the BHI stops so please continue fundraising for your hospital.

"You could take on a challenge event or do some fundraising at work. Money raised will make a real difference to patients."
