Terry Davis, a former patient at the Bristol Haematology & Oncology Centre (BHOC), recently visited the hospital to present a cheque for £3,219 to staff.

Terry's fundraising journey began in 2014 as part of the Golden Gift Appeal. After being diagnosed and treated for head and neck cancer, he took part in the Bristol Half Marathon and raised an amazing £6,132.

To continue his fundraising, Terry came up with the '60 for 60' idea - completing 60 fundraising events for his 60th birthday. He ran, abseiled and boxed his way to a further £3,219 in sponsorship, bringing his fundraising total to an amazing £9,351 for the BHOC!

We want to thank Terry for his brilliant fundraising efforts which will have a hugely positive impact on patient experience in the BHOC for years to come.

Terry will be sharing his inspirational story at this year's Christmas Star Concert so if you'd like to hear from the man himself, you can purchase tickets online from our website or from Above & Beyond's Fundraising Hub in the BRI Welcome Centre.
