A fundraiser has run a marathon to raise money for Bristol Heart Institute (BHI) in memory of her brother.

Alison Richards took on the challenge from her home in France after feeling inspired by her brother Keith and sister-in-law Fiona who did the Virtual London Marathon in October.

She was fundraising in memory of her brother Clive, who passed away last year.

Alison said: "Clive received the best care possible in the BHI and I would like to show my thanks and appreciation to the fantastic team.

"The marathon was hell on earth, but  I'm very pleased and proud!"

Alison has so far raised £650 to make a real difference to staff and patients at the hospital.
