This week we’ve said goodbye to our chief executive Sarah Talbot-Williams.

Sarah came into the organisation eight years ago, bringing with her boundless energy and commitment which she has channelled into helping Above & Beyond achieve some major successes around the hospitals.

She has overseen three hugely successful fundraising appeals which have helped improve patient care and transform environments across the hospitals. Other projects of which she is particularly proud include the pump-priming of the Faculty of Children’s Nurse Education at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children, the creation of staff development programmes such as the nursing scholarships awarded at the annual Nursing and Midwifery Awards, and the establishment of our key fundraising event, Bristol to Paris Cycle Challenge

Before she left, Sarah reflected on her time and experiences at Above & Beyond in a piece for Charity Times.

We’ve had so much fun working alongside Sarah for the past eight years and, although we’re sad to see her go, we wish her all the very best for the future. We know that she will continue to be one of the biggest advocates for Above & Beyond and our committed NHS staff.

We welcome Paul Kearney to the role of CEO and look forward to introducing him to you in the coming weeks and months!
