Make-up workshop funded for young people with cancer 21 January 2021 A make-up workshop has been funded for young people with cancer thanks to Above & Beyond support. On 17 December, 14 young ladies aged between 16 and 24 took part in the workshop run by Look Good, Feel Better. Prior to the event they each received a delivery in the post of a make-up bag filled with skin care and make-up products, enabling them to participate fully in the workshop and have equal access to a full complement of beauty items. Feedback from the young people included… I had such a lovely time doing the make-up workshop and I’m really grateful I had the opportunity to take part in it. It was so nice to receive loads of really gorgeous make-up products! I thoroughly enjoyed the workshop and learnt loads of really useful tips and advice about make-up. It was so nice to take part in such a fun activity during these difficult times and cheered up my festive period. Thank you very much! Hannah Lind, Youth Support Co-ordinator, said: "This was a really lovely opportunity for the ladies to get glammed up before Christmas. As well as learning loads of good tips it gave them the opportunity to receive really vital peer support and meet other young people going through cancer treatment. "Thank you for making this possible." Make a donation and help give patients the best care possible at Bristol city centre hospitals.
