This week marketing firm Sema4 visited NICU at St Michael's Hospital and the Caterpillar Ward at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children to deliver gifts.

Staff at the company decided to buy Above & Beyond teddy bears instead of gifts for their clients this year.

Pip Johnson, from Sema4, said: "2019 is our year of giving back to our community, so we decided that this Christmas instead of buying gifts for our clients we would donate that money to those in need.

"Above & Beyond were the perfect charity to help us with this. Christmas is all about the children so we wanted to focus on the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and the children’s hospital.

"Knowing that we may have helped put a smile on a child’s face this Christmas and knowing we are helping to fund such amazing work has helped us finish this year on a real high!"

Gemma Jenkins, Above & Beyond Corporate Partnerships Officer, said: "I want to say a big thank you to the Sema4 team for bringing the teddies in this week.

"All the money raised from sales of the bears goes back into Bristol's hospitals – meaning you’re giving a lasting gift to both patients and staff at your hospitals."
