It's Student Volunteering Week so a great time to talk to one of our brilliant student volunteers!

Emily joined us in February 2017 after moving to Bristol to study at university. She was eager to become more involved in the local community and gain experience within the charitable sector. 

She told us about her time so far volunteering for Above & Beyond:

"Volunteering with Above & Beyond is such a rewarding and eye-opening experience and has allowed me to learn new skills, meet new people and grow as an individual. The team are brilliant to work with and I have been made to feel like part of the team since day one. The work they do for Bristol's hospitals is outstanding. 

My duties vary on a weekly basis, including various administrative tasks, research and supporting the fundraisers. I have gained experience in many areas and enjoy being able to support different teams within the organisation. 

I would strongly encourage anyone to volunteer with Above & Beyond, as they offer amazing opportunities, continuous support to volunteers and always appreciate your time and efforts."

Emily is now in her third year at university and is as committed as ever to Above & Beyond. Thank you Emily!
