Stephen did a surfing challenge18 June 2021

A youngster has raised more than £150 with a surfing challenge at The Wave in Bristol

Stephen, 14, took the water on 5 June to raise money for Ward A602 at the Bristol Royal Infirmary, where his mum Alison works.

Stephen has done a range of adrenaline-fueled charity challenges, including climbing the rigging of the SS Great Britain and taking on the longest zip wire in Wales. Last year he did a paddle boarding challenge.

Alison said: "Stephen is aiming to do a lot more challenges and each one will be more adventurous than the other."

Stephen said: "I've been raising money for charity for a long time and have taken on various challenges.

"I'm amazed by the work all the hospitals do and by every single person there."
