The team at Brunel Pension Partnership have raised more than £1,100 to pay for two iPads for Bristol Heart Institute.

Funded as part of our BHI Appeal, the iPads will enable patients to do physiotherapy without a member of staff, improve communication between patients and staff and help patients stay in touch with their family and friends.

Brunel's Helen Price said: "It was great to meet the members of staff who will be using the iPads with patients and hear about the benefit they will have first-hand."

"The iPads will provide patients from Bristol and beyond with a vital form of communication and help alleviate boredom."

The iPads will be used on the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU).

Gemma Jenkins, corporate fundraising officer at Above & Beyond, said: "I really enjoyed showing the team at Brunel the iPads and introducing them to staff who will feel the direct benefit of the new equipment.

"By fundraising for Above & Beyond you can make a real difference to patient care within Bristol's hospitals - and money raised here, stays here."
