Last week was the annual Recognising Success Awards, an award ceremony held by University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW) to recognise all the hard work of our NHS staff.

Paul, our Chief Executive, said: "As the NHS charity for UHBW, we're committed to supporting the outstanding work staff do for patients each and every day, which is why we're delighted to support the Recognising Success Awards yet again.

"Because of our amazing NHS staff, we've been able to harness the power of collective kindness to make a real difference to patients and their families. These awards are a fantastic chance to reflect on the passion, dedication and hard work that goes on at our Trust."

Natalie won the charity awardNatalie Fineman, Lead Research Nurse at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children, won the Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity Award at the ceremony.

Natalie was incredibly supportive throughout the South West Children's Research Appeal, helping us with statistics and quotes, speaking to donors, providing patient stories and speaking at our events. As well as answering our many questions! She also took part in last year's Big Bristol Abseil and raised £385.

Also on the charity award shortlist were Linda Hodgkinson, from the dementia, delirium and falls team, and Sara Jardis, a Charity Champion and raffle superstar.

Elsewhere, our volunteer Mick was shortlisted in the Volunteer of the Year category for all his efforts at the fundraising hub in the Bristol Royal Infirmary. In the last year alone, Mick has volunteer 265 hours in our charity shop - thank you, Mick!

Congratulations to all the nominees on the night. We can't wait for next year!
