We are a weekly lottery that is offering you a great way to support Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity and your local NHS Trust while having the chance to win one a guaranteed jackpot prize of £1,000 every week.

WHO CAN PLAY THE WEEKLY LOTTERY?

The minimum age requirement to play our lottery is 18 and you must live in Great Britain.

Unfortunately, we are not licensed to accept entries from Northern Ireland, The Channel Islands or the Isle of Man.

Read the full terms and conditions.

HOW DOES THE LOTTERY WORK?

Simply enter by completing our sign up form. Each entry into the lottery costs £1 per week (£4.34 monthly Direct Debit per entry) and you can play up to two entries per week for the chance to win one of our fantastic cash prizes.

Winners are selected by random number generator draw software every Saturday evening.

The guaranteed weekly prizes are:

  • One top prize of £1,000
  • Two prizes of £50
  • Five prizes of £10

Winners are notified by email or post and lottery results are published here.

Entries each week close on Thursdays at 11:59pm.

Read the full lottery rules here.

HOW MUCH OF MY LOTTERY TICKET GOES TO CHARITY?

For every £1 entry, 27% covers admin and prize costs and 73% goes towards supporting our ten hospitals in Bristol city centre, South Bristol and Weston-super-Mare. We have recruited The Fundraising Foundry to promote this lottery and help us do more great things.

In the face of ongoing challenges, we must diversify the way we generate funds for our hospitals and commit to keeping any associated costs as low as possible.

CAN I GIFT AID MY LOTTERY DONATION?

Unfortunately we can’t Gift Aid lottery payments as by law your entry fee into a lottery draw is classed as a purchase rather than a charitable gift. As there will hopefully be something you receive in return i.e. a lottery win, it is not considered eligible for Gift Aid. However rest assured that your lottery entry will still go towards supporting your hospital charity.

HOW ARE PRIZES SELECTED?

The draw takes place every Saturday and results are published every Saturday at 17:45 GMT on our website here

The Winning Number for each weekly draw shall be the first six digits (in the same order) drawn using a Random Number Generator (RNG) to determine the winner(s). The RNG has been tested and approved by an independent, Gambling Commission-approved, third party test house.

HOW WILL I KNOW IF I'VE WON?

We will notify you by phone or email within 14 days of the draw date. A list of winners will be published every Saturday at 17:45 GMT on our website.

If you have won, your prize will be issued by cheque or BACS so there is no need to do a thing. Please remember to notify us of any address changes so you receive your prize without any delays. You can notify us of any changes by contacting us at [email protected] or call us on 0117 927 7120.

HOW MANY LOTTERY ENTRIES CAN I BUY?

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I WANT TO MAKE A COMPLAINT?

I’VE SPOKEN TO A FUNDRAISER ABOUT THE WEEKLY LOTTERY, IS THIS LEGITIMATE?

We do have fundraisers working on behalf of Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity to sign up players for the weekly lottery. You can see the lottery team here.

The fundraisers working in our hospitals will always wear branded ID badges and be wearing a yellow or orange branded top.

If you would like to check the legitimacy of a Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity lottery fundraiser, you can contact us at [email protected] or on 0117 927 7120.

WHY HAVE THE LOTTERY PRIZES CHANGED?

On the 14th August 2023 we updated our lottery to a prize draw with a guaranteed jackpot winner of £1,000 every week plus other cash prizes.

This change to a prize draw means there are now even better odds of winning guaranteed cash prizes each week.

We have also introduced a seasonal superdraw which will give our lottery players the opportunity to win an even bigger jackpot prize of £5,000 for no additional cost.

We hope you also agree that a guaranteed jackpot winner every week will be even greater for the community and our hospitals. If you have any questions, you can contact us at [email protected] or on 0117 927 7120.

I STARTED PLAYING THE LOTTERY BEFORE THE 14th AUGUST 2023, HOW WILL THE LATEST CHANGE AFFECT ME?

If you signed up before the 14th August 2023, you will continue to play your current lottery numbers until the new draw on 14th October 2023. You will still have the chance to win if your numbers are a match with the randomly drawn number generator. The lottery results page will still be updated each week with the winning numbers and we’ll continue to let you know if you’re one of our lucky winners.

We'll be in touch soon with more information about the change to the lottery. In the meanwhile if you have any questions, you can contact us at [email protected] or on 0117 927 7120.

MY CIRCUMSTANCES HAVE CHANGED – HOW DO I CANCEL?
